This photograph of the interior of the Houghtaling Rural School was included on the 1st National Bank Calendar.
The Houghtaling Rural School was located on the west side of Oak Grove Road near the intersection of Stelzer Road.
The three persons standing were Gertrude Burnett Terhune, Frances McDevitt and Kathleen Wines. Frances was the greatgrandmother of William McDevitt. She was a teacher at this school and was the sister of Kathleen Wines.
